RTI ACT

Points to be noted by the RTI applicants:
1.Applicants are requested to submit the applications to the Chairman, Habra Municipality.
2.Application must be accompanied by a fee of Rs. 10/- (Rupees ten only) in favour of Chairman, Habra Municipality exactly as per Section 1 of sub rule 1 of rule 3(a) in the form of :
  • An Indian Postal Order (IPO) of Rs. 10/- (Rupees ten only)
  • A Demand Draft or Bankers cheque of Rs. 10/- (Rupees ten only)
  • Cash (Rs.10/-) against proper receipt
3.Application should be submitted clearly mentioning the subject matter for which the information is sought for and the application should be complete in all respect.
 
RULES FOR DEPOSITION OF FEES
Prescribed fees for filing RTI application and providing information to the applicant as per Right to Information Act, 2005
The fee is prescribed by rule 3 of the Right to Information (Regulation of fee and Cost) Rules, 2005 applicant shall be accompanied by a fee of Rs. 10/- by any one of the following modes:
1.Cash against proper receipt, or
2.Indian Postal Order (in favour of Chairman, Habra Municipality), or
3.Demand Draft/Banker's Cheque, (in favour of Chairman, Habra Municipality payable at Habra)
For providing information under Section 7(5) of the Act, following fee shall be paid:
Rs. 2 (Rupees two ), for each page in A-4 or A-3 size paper created or copied : or
Actual charge or cost price, for a copy in large size paper, or
Actual cost price, for sample or model , or
Rs. 5 (Rupees five ) for each fifteen minutes or fraction thereof for inspection of records: or
Rupees fifty per CD or DVD , for information provided in the CD or DVD : or
Actual charge fixed for publication or rupees two per page of photocopy for extracts there from, for information provided in printed form
